Dana and Colin’s lavender-inspired waterfront wedding was nothing short of a dream! Working with a fabulous vendor team, we transformed the backyard of the family’s scenic estate into an elegant reception filled with soft lavenders and cool grays swirled with white-washed farm tables and natural wood accents. Stunning mixed-height floral arrangements by Amaryllis popped from the lavender linens and white tabletops, while a gorgeous, greenery-draped chandelier anchored the sweeping sailcloth tent. Still swooning!
An invigorating mix of style and sentiment filled the air, as guests celebrated this sweet couple on a property held near and dear to the bride’s heart. For Dana, her family’s second home is an anchor—a constant source of treasured memories with the people she holds most dear. Never was the family property more special, though, than when she began sharing it with Colin. A visit to the property was one of the first trips Dana and Colin took together as a couple, the beginning of a love story destined to come full circle. Enjoy!

Waterfront weddings are definitely our jam, and this beauty from last season still has us swooning! From the gorgeous bride and groom portraits in a most felicitous sunflower field to the wildflower-lined mahogany farm tables to the adorable naked cake, everything about this Tred Avon Yacht Club wedding in Oxford, Maryland was as natural as the couple saying “I do.” Previously featured on Style Me Pretty, this wedding is a rustic meets boho meets Eastern Shore dream, beautifully captured by Krista and Davey of Krista A. What do you do when your bride is a combat pilot and your groom is an executive in the aviation field? Plan a reception in an airport hangar, duh! Looking to show off their mutual love of aviation, Heather and Doug found the perfect venue for their intimate nuptials in an Easton Airport hangar filled with restored World War II spitfire airplanes and vintage automobiles. As a balance to the built-in décor manifesting the aviation theme, we focused on softening the setting using loose draping, lush florals and a subtle crystal chandelier that cast a beam of romance over the dance floor. With touches of aeronautical charts sprinkled throughout the décor, the only thing that would have made this day more unique is if the storms had held off and the bride was able to fly over the ceremony site, taxi in and descend from the cockpit to marry her groom as planned. Nonetheless, it was still a fairytale ending for Heather and Doug!
