It’s just about that time of year when we’re dying for gorgeous tent views like the scene at Amanda and Russell’s waterfront celebration at Point Pleasant Farm outside St. Michaels. The windswept dresses, the pop of coral, the custom bar, the adorable ice cream cart. This wedding is bringing us back to life! Add in a few creative nods to the couple’s profession in the sports arena—a ticket booth escort card display, a custom bride and groom bobblehead, and a surplus of “Team Tisch” foam fingers to liven up the dance floor—and we’re officially counting down the days until summer wedding season. In the meantime, we’ll just keep swooning over this beauty captured by the fabulous Kate Headley! Enjoy!

Dusty Blue + White St. Michaels Wedding

As a journalist, Katie has traveled the world chasing stories and residing in places like Abu Dhabi with her fiancé Ben. But when it came time to plan their wedding, the University of Pennsylvania grads sought the comforts of home—Katie’s parents’ home of St. Michaels, Maryland to be exact. The couple spent many a weekend in the quaint Eastern Shore town while living in D.C., and knew it would provide the perfect backdrop for the elegant yet relaxed celebration we helped them plan. As a nod to the maritime culture of St. Michaels, we contrasted brilliant whites with hints of dusty blue and gold to create a scene that perfectly complemented the venue’s coastal vibe. The rain prohibited the planned outdoor ceremony and open views of the water from the sweeping tent, but the resilient bride and groom didn’t let that put a damper on the celebration they simply described as fun! Photographer Perry Vaile beautifully captured all the details and scenes of the day, including some stunning bride and groom portraits in between rain showers. The day turned out exactly as we’d hoped—the perfect celebration for a perfect couple! See more on Grey Likes Weddings

Ginger Jar Inspired St. Michaels Wedding

When you share a ginger jar obsession with your bride, you know it’s a match made in heaven! And we couldn’t have vibed with bride Katie’s style more—we’re still swooning over her two-piece Lihi Hod dress! Katie and Matt have a fun story, having met at a dive bar during a blizzard in NYC, where Katie had to compete for Matt’s attention with a table full of New York Rangers (his favorite team)! She ultimately won out and just a few years later, the pair began planning their St. Michaels nuptials. We knew we wanted to incorporate Katie’s ginger jar collection into the celebration, so we stuck with a classic Eastern Shore color palette of blue and white—the perfect complement to the stunning water views at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The vibe beneath the gorgeous sailcloth tent was clean and crisp, with thoughtful touches—such as lollipop escort cards, a nod to the groom’s last name: Lalli—making the celebration all the more personal. Simple, elegant and relaxed, Katie and Matt’s waterfront wedding was one of our favorites of the year, as seen previously on Style Me Pretty’s Front Page! And Krista and Davey of Krista A. Jones Photography couldn’t have captured it more perfectly! Enjoy!
