St. Michaels, Maryland Wedding Planner & Designer
It was a true blending of cultures at Amy and Franco’s backyard wedding. With the bride’s family being British and the groom’s Mexican, Amy and Franco wanted to infuse both cultures into their celebration. So we incorporated handmade tablecloths from Mexico and a mariachi band at cocktail hour as a nod to the groom’s heritage, and, as a nod to the bride’s, the wedding was hosted at her parents’ second home outside of St. Michaels, complete with a real London phone booth! The bride and groom reside in Houston, Texas, where the bride is a zookeeper at the Houston Zoo and the groom works in his family’s business. To top it off, they’re high school sweethearts! They met at their senior prom. See more from this gorgeous wedding over on Magnolia Rouge!

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Wedding Planner
Coastal meets garden was the name of the game for Lindsay and TJ’s waterfront Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum wedding. The couple—who met in grade school when fifth-grade TJ would pass love letters to eighth-grade Lindsay at recess!—wanted a relaxed celebration near Lindsay’s family’s second home in St. Michaels. Sticking with a blue and white palette, we used toile patterned king table linens and ginger jar vases to tie in a floral element to the classic coastal color scheme. Pops of navy blue in the bridesmaid dresses, escort display, and table numbers were an added nod to the waterfront venue—where gliding sailboats provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s portraits on Navy Point. Jaime and Brendan’s love story is literally something out of a movie! After meeting in Miami while en route to Paraguay with 48 other Peace Corps volunteers, the couple bonded over late-night card games and sips of wine while engaging in impassioned talks of their dreams for the future. Two years, an 8-hour drive between assignments, and many abbreviated phone calls later (due to poor reception), Jaime and Brendan knew they were in it for the long haul. Their engagement was s true reflection of the journey they’d travel as a couple—a mutual proposal and exchange of rings atop the Mauna Kea Volcano in Hawaii.
The couple chose to wed at the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels—a nod to Jaime’s roots as an officer in the Navy and the couple’s shared love of the water. Rain prevented the planned waterfront ceremony, but that didn’t put a damper on the festivities. Following cocktails inside the inn, guests were escorted to the sailcloth reception tent, where we combined layers of white, blue and gold to create an atmosphere of relaxed elegance. We juxtaposed lacy white and ocean blue linens with grey-wash farm tables to add textural interest—and tied everything together with classic white rounded back chairs. Gold-rimmed swirl chargers, sea-glass blue water glasses, and navy and gold flatware stole the show atop the tables, with subtle nautical accents like knotted napkin folds bringing everything full circle. The rain outside only added to the ambiance inside the tent—an intimate celebration for two warm-hearted people. See more from this gorgeous wedding captured by Elisa Bricker over on Style Me Pretty!
