Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Wedding Planner
When you share a ginger jar obsession with your bride, you know it’s a match made in heaven! And we couldn’t have vibed with bride Katie’s style more—we’re still swooning over her two-piece Lihi Hod dress! Katie and Matt have a fun story, having met at a dive bar during a blizzard in NYC, where Katie had to compete for Matt’s attention with a table full of New York Rangers (his favorite team)! She ultimately won out and just a few years later, the pair began planning their St. Michaels nuptials. We knew we wanted to incorporate Katie’s ginger jar collection into the celebration, so we stuck with a classic Eastern Shore color palette of blue and white—the perfect complement to the stunning water views at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The vibe beneath the gorgeous sailcloth tent was clean and crisp, with thoughtful touches—such as lollipop escort cards, a nod to the groom’s last name: Lalli—making the celebration all the more personal. Simple, elegant and relaxed, Katie and Matt’s waterfront wedding was one of our favorites of the year, as seen previously on Style Me Pretty’s Front Page! And Krista and Davey of Krista A. Jones Photography couldn’t have captured it more perfectly! Enjoy!

We have to admit, we’re not exactly fall obsessed like the rest of the world seems to be. Living on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, it’s always hard to say goodbye to all the boating, beaching and beverages of summer. But this burgundy and berry shoot we designed for Elizabeth Anne Designs is definitely helping to cure our summer hangover! Shades of wine and plum cemented the forefront of this quintessential fall scene, as vibrant yellow foliage tied the landscape together from tree to ground. Classic details in the gown and jewelry complemented the traditional calligraphy script that embellished everything from the wax seal place cards to the welcome sign to the adorable mini Pinots Noir gifts. A simply adorned floating mantel placed under a canopy of autumn leaves made for the perfect ceremony setup—a nice contrast to the open air bride and groom portraits taken with the most stunning golden hour glow. Liz Fogarty perfectly captured all the prettiness on the grounds of the scenic Wye River Conference Center. Enjoy!

Eastern Shore of Maryland Event Planner & Designer
One of our favorite trends over the past few years has to be the addition of legit welcome parties to a couple’s wedding festivities. Whether they’re separate to or in conjunction with rehearsal dinners, these celebrations kick off what has come to be known as the “wedding weekend,” extending the party beyond just the wedding day. They set the tone for a whole weekend of wedding fun, culminating with the nuptials, of course, and often extended with a day-after brunch. For this welcome party at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, we wanted to welcome guests to the Eastern Shore in a relaxed setting that took full advantage of the area’s claim to fame—its water views. Beneath a sailcloth tent, we mixed earth and water tones to create a laid-back feel with a touch of rustic Eastern Shore flair. We especially loved the powder blue check linen and natural folding chair combo, the gorgeous boxed and terrarium arrangements from Monteray Farms, and the adorable lounge setup from White Glove Rentals. Enjoy!
