Fall at the Studio

In the six months since we opened the Kari Rider Events studio, by far our favorite activity has been changing out the tablescape with the seasons. And this one is the best yet. But then again, we say that every time! For this setting, we stuck with traditional fall hues, pairing navy blue plates, burgundy place cards and mustard yellow napkins with copper and gold tones for a rich autumn take on a classic meets modern look. It wouldn’t truly be fall at the studio, though, without refreshing our bar cart with all the change-of-season essentials—red wine, bourbon and the most adorably festive mini white pumpkins! All beautifully captured by the talented Karena Dixon!

It’s not officially fall until we change over what we’re drinking. And while red wine is always a staple, we decided to go on the hunt for a few other seasonal cocktails to get us in the fall spirit. Thanks to our friends at Bartlett Pear Inn and 375 Park Avenue Spirits, we found the perfect remedies. Whether you need to ease into the season with a pomegranate gin and tonic or are ready to jump right in with an apple cider mule, we’ve got you covered with three delicious and simple fall cocktail recipes photographed by the fabulous Karena Dixon! Cheers!

A New Twist on Paint and Wine Night

Ever since this whole paint and wine night craze exploded, we’ve been total skeptics. Who wants a horrifically toned painting of a giant flower or the likeness of a scene from a Tim Burton film hanging on their wall? The answer is nobody—we don’t care how much wine they serve! But then it dawned on us: we’re in the business of making things pretty. So why not design our own paint night full of gorgeous hues, adorable details and, of course, plenty of wine. The result—captured by the fabulous Caitlin Kellagher of CJK Visuals—was a summer citrus dream inspired by the night’s painting and enhanced with gorgeous flowers from Monteray Farms and a sparkling citrus sangria from Hair O’ The Dog.
